I’m switching things up in this blog post by answering a few questions you may have for me. Because you shouldn’t have to get on a call just to get some basic questions answered.
With that in mind, allow me to start with the most common question I get asked…
Question I get asked the most
How much do you charge?
As of 2025, most of my clients fall somewhere between $500 and $7,000 a month, depending on what they need.
I have some clients where I’m both their bookkeeper and fractional CFO, and I have some clients where I just manage their books, so the pricing varies based on what I’m providing.
Question about my industry
Are bookkeeping and accounting the same?
Bookkeeping is part of accounting. Accounting is everything that has to do with your finances.
I like to say there are bookkeeping tasks and non-bookkeeping tasks.
Bookkeeping tasks involve the day-to-day stuff, like entering transactions, reconciling accounts, and keeping your books current.
Then you’ve got the non-bookkeeping tasks, which are more strategic and high-level. These tasks are typically handled by a CFO.
Non-bookkeping tasks typically include:
- Financial strategy, forecasting, and advisory
- Budget planning
- Financial report creation
- Financial process automation
- Internal audits to prepare for financial reviews
- Tax preparation
- Financial reporting
- Cash flow management
As a fractional CFO, I can help your company with these tasks, plus the bookkeeping tasks.
Questions about my services
What services do you provide?
My team and I handle both your bookkeeping and non-bookkeeping tasks. So, if you want a bookkeeper or a fractional CFO, we can help. But we also provide HR services (including payroll).
What HR services do you provide?
We can help you:
- Come up with employee manuals that include policies and procedures
- Create offer letters
- Set up your 401(k) plans
- Put together health insurance plans
- Run your payroll
Why are you providing HR services?
While we primarily provide financial services, I want to make sure our clients can have an HR presence with policies and benefits.
Oftentimes, our clients want to have policies. They want to have benefits. But they don’t have the time to put the energy into researching it and doing all that work themselves. That’s why we offer these services.
